Paris, France nor Paris Hilton we are....
I have been faulted for being too honest in my days, but I am sure I am about to step into it again...
If "plastic cup swill beer isn't going to cut it for evening fun" than you have picked the wrong town to celebrate Spring Break. Don't get me wrong, Spring Break is HUGE in this town, its FUN AS HELL in this town, its WILD as anywhere else...BUT what it is not is classy, demure, big city, or even dare I say refined....we are definately not Paris Hilton...I would say more like Brittany Spears...
...and to that i say HELL YEAH!!! If the college kids wanted "refined" they would go spend a weekend in the Hamptons at Miffy's Beach House or pout until Daddy let them have the condo in South Beach...to quote my daddy, moments before the jury found him not guilty, "We ain't no cosmopolitan town."
Now does it mean we are bunch of rednecks...NO NO NO...just means we give breakers what they want, no pretense, no attitude, no dress code, just an outlet to have a good time...and that includes wet tee contests, thong contests, condom giveaway, and yes plastic cup swill...
I do understand where you are coming from though on your request for information, I have often watched groups of idealistic kids on their first day in town - dressed in their neatly pressed Abercrombie skirts and $60 bikini tops - they make commetns like "mmm we are going to enjoy some Cosmos and find us some good looking rich guys from the North....then i see them 5 days later tranformed - now in their free "Chase credit card" shirt (that bikini was lost days ago to a computer science guy from Iowa), their skirt disheveled with stains of many nights of uncconscience drinking, a bathtub full of empty Natty Light cans, and a trash can full of those plastic cups, which days before were full of swill beer!"
Its a beautiful tranformation...kind of like the catepillar to butterfly, but worse...I decree "Lets leave all the pretending to the other 359 days of the year...HONESTY in 07....you are here on Spring Break...simply put you are here to have FUN and in my experience, fun comes in a variety of cup sizes and shapes...
