Hello, Looks like you are the fisherman here. I want to fish on the surf (beach area) with my son at the end of October and he wants to catch a shark. Size does not matter. We tried last year and never got a bite but it was kinda rough. We had a regular rod and reel and used the double hooks with a sinker. We used squid on 1 and a mullet on the other hook. We had to poles out. No luck and we went about three nights. Maybe we did not stay long enough. Maybe we need a surf pole, or whatever they are in order to get it out further. Any suggestions or advise would be great.
