I recently spent the weekend with my fiance down near the Murrell's Inlet area. We booked the package through Vacation-Offer.com and got a great deal as part of a vacation ownership promotion. They put us up at the Surf Master hotel for 2 days and they let us play a free round of golf at the Wachesaw Plantation East Golf Course.

I actually like Murrels Inlet better than most of Myrtle Beach (although we did enjoy Myrtle for a day). The area had great sea food. I definitely recommend the trip.
