I was actually just out at
Beachcomber By the Sea for a wedding reception this weekend. The couple held it in front of the gazebo which is practically right on the beach. It looked like a great spot for a ceremony and it was definitely a great spot for this reception.
The couple got married at
Eden Garden State Park...which is basically an old plantation house surrounded by an awesome park. It was a little warm...but you really couldn't ask for a nicer setting.
My wife and I got married a couple of years ago on the beach...
Mexico Beach, behind
Toucan's, and if I was more involved in the planning I could tell you all about the restrictions involved in that sort of thing. As far as I know...there were none. I think we just cleared the day with the city and that was that. There was certainly no expense involved and I don't recall any paperwork or anything.
Hope this helps!
