The State of Florida uses the term Driving under the Influence (DUI) not Driving while intoxicated (DWI). The reason for this is the State of Florida can charge a person with DUI even if they are under the influence of drugs (prescription drugs or non-prescription drugs). DWI States cannot as it normally indicates only alcohol when using the term intoxicated.
