Huge Music Festival during Spring Break voted down by PCB Council

A promoter from California-based Endless Summer proposed a massive music festival occuring over 2 weekends during Spring Break 2010.

The proposal included having the festival at Frank Brown park off Back Beach Road, features 60 performers and would draw a estimated 100,000 people.

The promoter, Ted Absher, said his clients include MTV, BET, CMT and the Grammy Awards.

But, city council members voted against the festival due to security concerns and a lack of resources to control the event.
