Festival Of Trees, Festival of Lights
Festival of Trees, Festival of Lights
December 6 - 14, 2003 Where: The Georgia World Congress Center, Exhibit Hall A-1 Recorded Festival infomation line: 404.785.NOEL http://www.choa.org/festival/default.shtml The Christmas season is one about giving, and the City of Atlanta has incorporated this attitude into its Festival of Trees. Visitors can stroll through 150,000 square feet of decorated trees, wreaths and decorator vignettes created by the city's top artists and designers. The Festival also features magnificent gingerbread houses, an assortment of specialty shops, a special venue of handmade dollhouses, and an array of children's activities. The main stage features continuous live entertainment and attracts people of all ages. In addition to the tree festival, the city has recently added a light festival. Locals and tourists can walk across the street from the trees, wander over to Centennial Olympic Park, and enjoy a mammoth display of holiday luminaries. Structures as high as 50 foot are accompanied by local music. This duo of festivals is a great way to ring in the holiday! |
