Have one more question... When and where do I want to avoid traffic?? I have read so much about the bad traffic, I would rather stay out of it. I will be coming from tenn, down I-75, and staying in college park area. It will be around 4 when I arrive. any help from locals??

Traffic is pretty bad around that time going South on I-75/I-85. There really is no way to avoid it. It starts around 3pm and ends around 7pm or so. What day are you coming in. If you are coming in on the weekend you'll be fine, but if it's during the week you may just have to enjoy the experience of the dreaded Atlanta traffic. If you are are staying with friends or at a hotel you may be able to ask them for some alternate routes or back roads. Good Luck!

Thank You for replying. I'm coming in on a Wed. I'm staying at a hotel. Are by-passes, I-285, better that going through town?

That could be a good option around that time. The closer you get to 5:00 the worse it gets. You may just miss it if you get in around 4:00.
