BLACKWOOD ARTICLE
THE LIBRAS
$7 / early show/doors @ 8pm
BLACKWOOD ARTICLE. Their name, taken from an Edgar Allen Poe story, is meant to signify all of the varying influences that are combined to make up the band’s catalog of songs. The sound created from the process allows Blackwood Article to be new and different yet inviting and familiar at the same time. Opening the festivities this evening will be THE LIBRAS.

1/11 Wednesday
CRAIG WEDREN
Amy Miles
$8 adv / $10 day of / early show/doors @ 8pm

CRAIG WEDREN, best known for his Freddie Mercury-esque vocal acrobatics as the frontman of Shudder To Think. With his solo debut, his voice croons with falsetto beauty and cuts through the rock clatter with ease. The instrumental accompaniment is as gentle as rock comes. His talent and craftsmanship is finely tuned and quite enjoyable. Opening the show is AMY MILES. Pitching her girlish voice at a soft whisper on a finger-picked guitar, Amy conjures up the ghosts of her youth past. She simply produces excellent indie rock music, from the balls-out variety to low-key and relaxed.

1/12 Thursday
CX-1 (featuring members of Snake Oil Medicine Show & Acoustic Syndicate)
The Hopsing Project
$8 adv / $10 day of / early show/doors @ 8pm

CX-1 formed when the bands Acoustic Syndicate and Snake Oil Medicine Show retired. These guys display one of the best examples of modern fusion music. CX-1 is a progressive roots power quartet, the dynamic between Jay Sanders, Andy Pond, George Pond and Billy Seawell is an equal union. Spreading the music and message of universal harmony, these four travelers have been at the epicenter of Western North Carolina’s progressive acoustic movement. Opening this evening will be THE HOPSING PROJECT. These guys music is inspired by everything and everyone around them. Though they are very serious about the music, their magical stage presence proves that a Hopsing Project performance is nothing short of pure musical passion.

1/13 Friday
MANDORICO
Alan Yates Band
$10 adv / $12 day of

MANDORICO. This eight-piece group fuses together Latin and American musical influences with a unique blend of Caribbean, hip-hop and rock. Their blend of cultures has been referred to as a sign of the times and their high-energy shows are not to be missed. They will leave you breathless with their on stage antics. This band has garnered an underground following the size of a small country and has sold tens of thousands of copies of their 3 independent releases. Mandorico’s “wall of sound” is made up of horns, percussion, loud guitars and multiple vocals smashing together urban rock, reggae, Latin and punk yielding an incomparable musical monster. Opening this evening will be the ALAN YATES BAND. This Atlanta singer/songwriter has worked with bands such as Collective Soul, White Stripes, Sister Hazel, Sean Mullins and Sir Elton John. His vivid melodies capture audiences as he bridges the creative sensibility of Peter Gabriel, lively punch of Beck and intimacy of Chris Isaak.

1/14 Saturday
BLUEGROUND UNDERGRASS
The Squirrelheads
$12 adv / $15 day of / early show/doors @ 8pm
BLUEGROUND UNDERGRASS. This band, formed in 1998 by Reverend Jeff Mosier, is known for playing a self proclaimed high energy mix of “psychedelic hiphop bluegrass.” The original members of Blueground are getting back together for this tour featuring various artists including fiddle/mandolin player David Blackmon of Widespread Panic. The goal for this band and their shows are to provide each and every crowd with a unique, energetic and unforgettable live show. Opening this evening will be the SQUIRRELHEADS. This act plays music with a bluegrass flavor drawing from collective musical experiences. Their songs come from a variety of sources: bluegrass, surf rock, swing and more. The Squirrelheads give each song their own unique twist in a fun-loving energetic way.

In The Atlanta Room:
LEFTY WILLIAMS
$5 / early show/doors @ 7pm

1/15 Sunday
THE SAMPLES
Bradley Cole Smith Band
$15 adv / $18 day of / early show/doors @ 8pm
THE SAMPLES might be best known for giving the Dave Matthews Band a leg up when they were first starting out (and believe me, the band won’t let you forget it), but long time fans have stuck with them out of love for their ethereal, jam based rock, the majority of which is written by Sean Kelly, the lead singer. This band continues to create a unique brand of music and put on high energy shows across the country. Opening this evening will be BRADLEY COLE SMITH. The former singer, songwriter and guitar player for the band Doublewide is now flying solo. His style of music is the roots/rock Americana theme.

In The Atlanta Room:
SONGSMITHS SONGWRITER SERIES
hosted by Kahle Davis
Penny Lane (9pm)
Chris Unck (8pm)
Seth Adams (7pm)
Grace Buford (6pm)
