Move to Atlanta?

I really like Atlanta and would even consider moving there under the right circumstances. I've got it made in Paradise right now (Panama City Beach) but there's lots of things about Atlanta that I really, really like.

What are some of the nicer areas to live... middle-class, family-type neighborhoods? (suburbs may be a more appropriate term)

I know in PCB, our real estate prices have really shot up in the last couple years... a new 4/2 home in a middle-class nieghborhood can be more than $300k now. What are prices like around Atlanta?

Have you looked around at Marrietta or Smyrna? I used to spend alot of time on business in Atlanta and was offered a relocation, and these are some areas I looked at. It's been a few years, but I loved the suburbs there at the time.

I love to visit and shop, but WOW does it get hot and sticky in the summer... I'm a Texas girl so I know heat, but the sticky is a new thing. Is that something you have in PC too?

I haven't really had a chance to look at any of the suburbs around ATL, but thanks for the suggestions. I know there are tons of suburbs and smaller towns just outside Atlanta, so I was hoping to hear which ones are the best and why! Jonesboro, Roswell, Alpharetta, Smyrna, Marrietta, etc.
