Atlanta, GA – The Tabernacle will explode into a whirling wind ride as crackling volcano fire, freezing icebergs, gigantic waves and pulsing hearts take over downtown Atlanta for the Captain Planet Foundation’s 12th annual “Party to Save the Planet” on December 8th. Experience the Elements: Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Heart as one of the largest environmental fundraisers in Atlanta brings together the Earth’s most powerful elements to save children and their planet. Join special guests Ted Turner, Philippe Cousteau, Dr. Heidi Cullen and surprise “green glitterati” for a night of elemental extremes.
A dizzying frenzy of special effects will take your breath away as you travel across elemental landscapes provided by Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles. The Soulful Sounds of Motown will rock your world as you dance to The Former Ladies of the Supremes. Journey down the Amazon as you enjoy the delicious Rainforest Feast donated by Publix GreenWise Market and prepared by A Legendary Event. You’ll dance the night away in the Earthlight Lounge & Bar sponsored by DIAGEO. Exclusive VIP Eco-Chic Meet & Greet featuring luscious hors d’oeuvres donated and prepared by Ted’s Montana Grill. Over the past 11 years, proceeds from X-MAS Party have raised over 1.8 million dollars for homeless children and the environment. This year’s X-MAS Party beneficiaries include: Captain Planet Foundation, Atlanta Children’s Shelter, Children’s Health Environmental Coalition (CHEC), Our House and Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper’s Educational Waters to the Sea Program.
