The Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration is how Atlanta celebrates its native son with a series of events throughout the month of January.. the Annual Salute to Greatness Awards Dinner, a concert featuring the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, a Service Summit for organizations promoting positive social change, and an annual Commemorative Service.

Emory University joins in with several different events honoring Dr. King. The annual King Remembrance March and Rally is a high point, as are the speakers who follow. Throughout the month, there are film screenings, public seminars, and artwork featuring Dr. King, his work, and his legacy.
If you're in Atlanta in January, there will be many opportunities to observe the life and legacy of one of Atlanta - and America's - great citizens.
