Best Atl hotel for night life
Going to Atlanta for the first time & like to stay @ Hotels that I don't have to leave or have to go far (< 1 mile) for night life. Prefer lounge/pub/pool type place with a 30ish straight crowd & no shortage of ladies . I will be there on a Tue, Wed, & Thur night @ the end of Feb. I am considering Marriott Marquis or the Hyatt next door, they both seem to have decent bars. Thanks in advance.

Hi snapman! I finally get to answer a question instead of asking one- yeah! Try Fado Irish Pub, it has a real "Irish Pub" feel. After your first pint or two you'll think you're a regular!
Another place that fits the bill is Buckhead Billiards. A whole sea of pool tables, a youngish fun crowd and - this is best part - a giant beer selection! If you want to do any late-nighting, I'd suggest Fuel. It's got a retro thing "happening." |

Looks like you all are leading me to Buckhead, so i guess i will look into staying there, but i still will plan one night in the down town/ midtown area. Does the amerisuites have a bar that has at least a few people (besides the bartender) there??. What about the Grand Hyatt?? It appears to have a bar. I know most of the time will exploring other places, but it is nice to have access to suds at my "home base". Any more help would be appreciated. Again, I am looking for a 30ish party crowd, not in to an under 25 hip hop dance scene. I will check out the Irish pub for sure......
Thanks !!! |

I didn't spend any time in midtown or downtown, so I can only suggest something a friend told me about. The Leopard Lounge is in Midtown and has a hip reputation, some sort of Frank Sinatra thing. Sorry I can't be much help, maybe someone else knows!

Baroanda is just as good as Dominic says snapman. The best part is that they don't pretend to be what they're not. The owners are friendly and so are the staff. It's one of the few places we always go to when we are in Atlanta.
