Cool MARTA help from airport, please

flying into Hartsfield from Florida next Thursday, 1/31. How do I connect to MARTA to take train to Arts Center stop? Is it a long ride? Arrive 8pmish - anywhere in airport to purchase tokens? Signs easy to follow? Does one actually leave the airport to catch the subway? And, is there anything obvious I've forgotten to ask?

Thanks in advance for all help.

I cant answer your question, as i am in the same situation. I will be flying in on 26 Feb, & planning on using MARTA from the airport & for 3 days. I hope someone helps us. Apparently there is a visitor's pass you can get for the number of days you will stay, it allows you unlimited access to MARTA. There web site is www.itsmarta.com

You can pick up Marta right at the airport. It's very easy :D
Very well done. YOu'll have no problem deciding what direction to go on it to get to the Arts Center Station. Color Coded maps, very easy to use. I've used it several times and find it to be the ONLY way to get to the airport

Airport to Arts Center Station

It is real easy to get to the Arts Center station from the Airport. From either north or south terminal baggage claim is an entrance to the Marta station which is part of the Airport. It is on the end away from ticketing you can ask any uniformed person if you can't find it.

You purcahse tokens at the station $1.50 there is a machine and there is usually an attendant to the right of the turnstiles.

All trains only go north and it takes 25 mintes or so. The Arts center station is 4 stations past the five points main station and right after the Midtown station. You can exit the station to West Peachtree or toward Peachtree Road on the other side of the Arts Center itself.

I'd only get a visitor pass if you are going to use it a lot and it does not go everywhere by any means. Pay as you go works fine.
