Stone Mountain

We've added almost 50 photos of Stone Mountain and the park... there's just not another park like this in the Southeast! One of the modern wonders of the world in the giant sculpture of Confederate heroes, an incredible events field that's almost unbelievable, kid's rides, a scenic train... Stone Mountain has something for just about everyone!

See for yourself!

We've been through Atlanta how many times, and never got around to stopping at Stone Mountain. The photos are very nice, but is it really worth stopping at? I mean, it's not just another tourist attraction with overpriced souvenirs and tacky food, is it?

Oh absoluetly it's worth it! Take the kids they'll find so much to do that WON'T bore them!!! The kids I've taken there, including my own, think it's one of the best trips they've gone on.

I am not 100% sure it seems like I remember something about Stone Mountain as the number one tourist attraction in Georgia. I'd believe it! There were large crowds whenever I've been there, and yet it doesn't seem overly crowded. There's just so much to do and see.

Go, by all means, go!!!!

Stone Mountain opened for the season last week, so go on and get out there! Of all Atlanta's attractions, Stone Mountain is certainly one of the most scenic, varied, and surprising. If you're in town, don't miss the chance to visit this Southern treasure!

Well we're going this Memorial Day for six flags. The kids seem to think Stone Mtn will "suck" but it sounds good to me. We'll see I guess.

Well the MaxwellFam is in for a treat! Stone Mountain is having a huge Memorial Day event! It's the Z93 Memorial Day Concerts program.

Saturday the 25th everything kicks off with a 10am opening of the new, $30 million attraction Crossroads. This is a re-creation of an 1870s Southern town, complete with fascinating characters and working mills, glass shops and blacksmiths.

A boarding house restaurant, candy and ice cream shops, and an incredible 4-D Theater rounds things out!

At 4pm the bands start, with headliners America taking the stage at 6:45pm. The truly amazing Laser Light show finishes things off at 9:30pm.

Enjoy guys!
