Heritage Sandy Springs Announces the 2008 Student Art Show Winners!

2008 Student Art Show Winners

Sandy Springs, Ga.; April 2, 2008: Heritage Sandy Springs is pleased to announce the winners of the 17th annual Student Art Show. Students in grades 9-12 were judged on painting, drawing, photography and mixed media. A reception showcasing the artwork was held on Sunday, March 30 at Heritage Green and featured a string quartet from Franklin Pond Chamber Music. Please join us in congratulating our winners!

Color drawing: 1st place, Olivia Messer, Atlanta International School; 2nd place, Rachel Moler, Blessed Trinity High School; 3rd place, Frank Broyles, Riverwood High School

Black and white drawing: 1st place, Kishauna Callwood, Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School; 2nd place, Fanny Rivera, Riverwood High School; 3rd place, Mackenzie Walls, Riverwood High School

Painting: 1st place, Kayla Kaeding, Holy Spirit Preparatory School; 2nd place, Natascia Chubinskey, Riverwood High School; 3rd place, Keaton Anderson, Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School

Photography: 1st place, Amelia Fugitt, Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School; 2nd place, Katie Sheline, Riverwood High School; 3rd place, Molly Holt, The Cottage School

Mixed media: 1st place, Wood Alter, Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School; 2nd place, Josh Epperson, Mt. Pisgah Christian School; 3rd place, Alex Perez, Riverwood High School

Winning artwork is on display at Brooklyn Café, Nancy G’s Café and Slopes BBQ throughout the month of April. By visiting these restaurants, you’ll be supporting our neighborhood restaurants that support the arts. Cost is free and hours of operation vary by location.
