Thumbs up French Impressionists

The High Museum is bringing in the Impressionists - works by Monet, Degas and Rodin are coming as part of "Paris in the Age of Impressionism: Masterworks from The Musee d'Orsay."

This once in a lifetime showing of pieces that rarely ever leave Paris is coming to Atlanta from November 23 to March 16th.

One of the major pieces to be on display - Degas' "The Absinthe Drinker." It's that level of masterwork that the High Museum is noted for... and that has accounted for over 1 million visitors to events co-sponsored by the High and the Convention & Visitors Bureau which expects up to 200,000 people to pass through this show alone!

If you know you can't miss this show, then book your hotel room now! Rooms close to the High are expected to fill up when the exhibit hits the city.

Arrow cool

the high is a great place to see any exhibit, especially one as rare as this. last year we saw the michelangelo exhibit for $12 per person... and had the best guided tour you could ask for.

if you like art the least little bit, you should check out this show. I know we will.:D
