The Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-Off began in 1979 as a fun way to showcase the south's best amateur chefs, and as an event to bring people together for a great time for a great cause. The inaugural event drew nearly 1,000 folks as far away as Tennessee and near as Stone Mountain. The inagural event had a grand total of 15 teams.

This year, the Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-Off presented by Aaron's Sales and Lease, will host it's 31st cook-off. The event is expected to draw over 300 teams from across the United States. It is the premier chili cook-off east of Texas. Total attendance from last year exceeded 14,000 people, filling up the meadow at Stone Mountain Park. The cook-off has something for all ages, from great music to great food and games for the whole family.
