Morning Free

Stopped in Atlanta on our way to a family reunion in southern Georgia. We had a afternoon to kill so we dropped in at the High. They've got a few good exhibits going now, the only one that really got my attention was the Monet show. Even though there's not a lot of pieces in the show you get a pretty good sense of his style.

Animal lovers and fans of children's book author Janosch won't want to miss Zoo Atlanta's birthday bash for Bahagia, one of only 500 Sumatran tigers left in the world... she was born last year at Zoo Atlanta and has been a favorite of visitors ever since.

The party is Saturday, November 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It's a great way to entertain the kids, and interesting enough for adults to enjoy, too.

BIG fan of Zoo Atlanta! We take the grandkids there when we can. They've become almost boorishly learned about their favorite animals, but I imagine that's what everbody said about Jim Fowler too! (Gosh, I'm probably giving my age away with that last remark)

We haven't had them since the Sumataran tiger was born so I guess it's time to head back. Thanks for the tip, Dean.
