Our last trip to Atlanta

Every once in a while, we head to Atlanta for business and every time we go I find more and more things I like about Atlanta!

This time we found 2 new restaurants (well, new to us) that blew us away:

Fritti is a gourmet pizza joint/ultra-hip hangout that has a great atmosphere, awesome food and wonderful service. They are next door to Sotto Sotto in the Virgina Highlands (same owners, same quality experience). I will make it a point to eat here every visit to ATL from now on. I was really impressed!

And after a couple hours exploring Phipps Plaza and wondering why anyone would spend $1,000(!!!) on a shirt, we stopped in Twist to grab a quick bite to eat and were pleasantly suprised at how great of a restaurant it is. They serve 'creative cuisine with attitude' which consists of some pristine sushi dishes, satays, tapas and wraps. Highly recommended!

We also got to drive around a little and see some parts of ATL I haven't seen before (no, we weren't lost ). There's some really cool old neighborhoods that have survived the high-rise revolution in Atlanta... with old, Southern Architecture and huge oak trees that had to be hundreds of years old. Kinda cool seeing them mixed in with the rest of the city.

Really looking forward to going back to Atlanta with a little more time to explore.

I live in Marietta just north of Atlanta. On your next visit you should check us out. We are a growing community. If you have kids, then White Water is the place for them. Also, you must visit our Marietta Square area for antiques etc. Lots of fun places to eat and shop. Enjoy!

Thanks! We'll do that. I've heard nothing but good things about Marietta.

Is "Buckhead" considered Marietta? Just wondering because last time I was there we ate at a place called the Mosaic, and it was superb.

Thumbs up Buckhead / Marietta

Buckhead and Marietta are separate cities.
