Atlanta Restaurants to Host Tsunami Relief Event

Greetings!

Please join the restaurant community of Atlanta, Georgia for Dine Out for Tsunami Relief. On February 8th from 5 pm to close, each of the following restaurants will open their doors to family, friends and neighbors to raise funds to help rebuild the communities affected by the disaster. Participating restaurants have committed to donating 20% of the night's total sales to CARE, an organization dedicated to disaster recovery and poverty relief programs.

WHAT: More than 100 Atlanta restaurants are coming together on one night to remember those who died in the tsunamis and raise money to provide aid to the survivors and rebuild the communities in the affected areas. Each participating restaurant will donate 20% of the evening’s total sales to a fund that will be given to CARE USA and used directly for Tsunami relief.

WHEN: Tuesday, February 8, 2005 from 5 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. (midnight).

WHO: Dine Out for Tsunami Relief

CARE USA, world headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, has mounted a multi-country emergency response that includes food, water purification tablets, shelter materials and basic medical supplies for the hardest hit areas of India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

Restaurants that will participate in Dine Out for Tsunami Relief will have orange balloons outside their doors.
