Post Relocating to Savannah Georgia

I'm seeking information regarding Savannah's community profiles. I'm relocating from NYC and would like information on the racial makeup of the various areas. I also am interested in a diverse population. But I'd rather live in a community where I can raise my child without threat to her ability to receive an education or be safe. My intention is to rent an apartment for a period of time and thereafter purchase a home. I would like to find affordable, low rent housing. Please respond with any information that you have about Savannah and the surrounding areas. Your response is greatly appreciated.

Savannah Information

Hi Shekey 31,

Savannah is a nice place with lots of history. I visited there one St. Patricks Day. They had a huge parade, they dyed the water in the fountains green, they served green food (like eggs).
I am not too familiar with Savannah, Georgia's schools, but I did find a web site that could be helpful, it shows a lot census info. Chatham County seems to be very diverse. This site showed all the demographics , real estate and community info. Good luck and I hope this helps .

Relocating to Savannah Georgia

When I relocated to Savannah, I didn't know the first thing. I had never even visited Savannah. I found a Savannah website that was full of free reports about Savannah and the other little towns around. The site was http://www.SavannahHomeInfo.com. I just checked and the website is still online. One thing that I learned after moving here is that you do not want to live in town. I like the quiet area's of Savannah like Pooler.

Good Luck on your move..

Cool A generally interesting website for neat places

We are actually looking to vacation in Atlanta this Spring, and I came across some interesting places to stay in Atlanta http://www.eatsleepgo.com/GA.html

We were looking for some places that have some Southern flavor. It seems that the Georgian Terrace might be interesting.

But the key was the interesting restaurants recommended. H&H Restaurant. We'll see how it goes.
