why staying in your RV in Atlanta is not a good idea...
The wife and i went to Atlanta to see the magnificence of Turner Field...anyplace with that many bathrooms is like a mecca to those in my industry. We went and decided on a wild night on Peachtree Street. You know the kind of night...some fried chicken and all the Old Milwaukees the little lady could drink. We were getting wild, but fortunately for us we had The Blue Bullet with us.
I had had the Blue Bullett since I was a young man juts getting my bearings in the world, the greatest motor home $2795.94 could buy back in the late eighties.
Well not wanting to drink and drive we parked the Blue Bullett on Peachtree Street and comenced on a wild night of partying. We had pulled the awning and set our plastic chairs up on the sidewalk. Enjoying the aroma of our franks grilling on the portable Red Devil Grill we were in heaven. The night grew late however and off to bed we went...well we did not go right to sleep...we watched the results from the fifth annual mud bog races.
Well I had this terrible dream that Big Blue was being hoisted in the air when I realized it was no dream at all. We were being lifted by a tow truck and dragged through the streets of Atlanta. As we pulled from the curb, it was then i noticed the 2 hour parking limit sign....uh oh.
Actually motorhomes are the way to travel, being sort of trapped we just sat and watched the city go by all the while no having to worry about the driving...not bad.
Problem is they dumped us in some impound yard, and we are stuck here...literally...please send help...we are writing this in hopes that someone will come and bail me, Deedee and Blue out of this auto prison in Georgia. We are running out of Ramen and Cup o Noodles...please send help...or at least some fried chicken!
and that is why staying in your motor home on the streets of ATL may not be the best idea in the world!
