Clubs
Wow, nobody's posted here yet, so I thought I'd share some local college student insight on the club scene around here.
Club La Vela is the most popular and most populated, but the only time I think it's worth the 25$ cover is Spring Break. Another club is Spinnaker, which is next door to La Vela. I've never been there at night, but in the daytime, they have the paradise grill overlooking the beach with awesome food. During Summer and Spring Break, behind these 2 clubs on the beach is one of the most populated areas and best place to meet people. The second best place is probably behind the Holiday Inn, Ocean Towers, or any big hotel, preferably a chain. If you're over 30 and you're bringin' the family, the best place to go is Mexico Beach because it has a more peaceful beach with more families. Schooners is excellent during the daytime. It is my favorite daytime beachclub for sure because of its beautiful view of the beach and awesome food. My favorite dance club is the Tiki Bar behind the Sandpaper hotel about a mile west of highway 79 on front beach road, so I highly suggest trying it one night. Lattitudes is OK, it plays good remixes and a lot of techno. Ruthie T's is good year round on Wednesday nights because it's Locals night and Bar wars. For those of you who like country, definitely goto Stetsuns off of E. 3rd Street. Great country bar. Recently, I went behind the Holiday Inn, almost on the corner of front beach road and beckrich road and they have a good kareoke bar. I just walked up from the beach and ended up staying for 2 hours. There's also a good one in the Edgewater Plaza. Anyway, that's about all I know as far as Clubs in Panama City. Enjoy! Last edited by chickmagnet869; November-16th,2004 at 12:57 PM. |

Sorry for the inaccurate info, it was just my opinion. Good thing people can reply to these things. A girl-friend of mine actually went there dancing Friday night and had a blast! I'm also only 18 and probably haven't gone clubbing half as much as most people, so I just hope the info helped from my perspective. :)
