Smile vaction in october (beginning october)

My sister is taking her vacation to seagrove florida in early october. Does anyone have any idea what the weather might be like or a website to visit that might be able to predict the weather for that time period. This is her first time seeing the ocean and she'd like to be able to get in the ocean and have fun. Thanks
Dana

Can't really predict the weather that far off, but the water will still be warm enough to swim. Air temperatures will still be in the 70s, 80s and maybe even the 90s.

The beach will be less crowded in October, so she picked a great time to visit!

Check out the Indian Summer Seafood Festival in PCBeach (Oct 10-12) or the Destin Seafood Festival in Destin (Oct 3-5). Both should really be a good time!

PS- the water is actually not part of any ocean... it's the Gulf of Mexico... it's much nicer than the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans!

devinedana, if you have any way to go with your sister down to Seagrove then do it. October in Seagrove is my favorite time there. I should know, I live there. The beaches are still plenty warm, the water is almost always calm and pristine, and the beaches are basically deserted. In a nutshell, it's paradise in Florida. Your sister is gonna be spoiled for her first time at the beach, for it doesn't get any better than Seagrove(or anywhere along 30-A) in October.
