We need something for traffic here BAD

In case you locals don't know it yet theres one way to get to/from destin/panama city thats 98. We need to get something started

I visioned a bridge that will cover between Pensacola to Panama City on the Gulf. This is possible but expensive. I wondering is there anyone on here who wants to see something like this happen in the next few years (done by several private contractors of course and the road will cost like $0.50 cents to get on and off to help maintain the road)

All along 98 its hell trying to go to Destin because of lack of road and too many accidents. I've been here since 2000 and I hate driving on 98 because 1)too many accidents 2) VERY LONG LIGHTS (which is not neccassary 1/2 of the time) 3)people doing very dumb things on the road.

If anyone gives a damn please give your beef about this. (this won't interfear with the boats at all since it will be high enough, etc

Are you talking about a toll bridge that connects Pensacola to Panama City or Tallahassee that goes out over the gulf spoiling our beaches just so you don't have to sit in a little traffic???

It'll never happen. Get used to the traffic like everyone else, or don't drive in it, or move.

The only real solution to the traffic is to increase the funding of public transportation. I moved to the Destin area in 1982 and the traffic has progressively gotten worse. I am sure that it will continue to do so, and adding more roads cannot be the answer when land space is so limited. Some sort of trolley or park and ride system would be the best solution. I bridge of the size mentioned is just crazy talk and would get demolished anytime a hurricane went by.
