Question Big Kahuna WP & Gulfarium

I am wanting to know opinions on the Big Kahuna Water Park and the Gulfarium. The Big Kahuna kinda looks like Schlitterbahn here in Texas, but wasn't sure. Anyone have any suggestions. We will be in Destin in mid June. Thanks in advance.

Me and a bunch of family and friends went to the water park two summers ago. It is okay for about 3 hours or so, then it gets pretty old. There's not a lot to do for a long amount of time. We have a Schlitterbahn (sp?) here in Texas and BK in Destin isn't a tenth of the size of it. If your bored and need some temporary fun, then it wouldn't be a bad idea. The Gulfarium is pretty cool, again though, but it gets a bit boring pretty quick. I guess what I'm trying to say is that after being once, you probably won't go back. We didn't go back to either one of them last year. I can't wait till May, that is when we always go. :D Oh, another thing, if you plan on going to BK WP you might want to wait later in the day. The price goes down after three, i think. The normal price is way too high for the amount that is there. Jet skiing in the bay is something that I really enjoyed in the past. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the advice everyone! I have been to Schlitterbahn a couple times, as I am from Texas too. Actually, they are in the process of or will be soon in the process of putting a Schlitterbahn III in Galveston. It is supposed to be bigger than the one in Padre Island, but not as big as the original. It is our first time to go to Destin, so we have no idea. The only hold back is my sister will be 6 months pregnant so she won't be able to do a lot of the things we would normally do. We are trying not to make her feel left out too much even though I would love to water ski! Anyway, thanks again!

We've got a great article in the Destin Travel Archives on what to do in Destin... it covers Big Kahuna's and Gulfarium.

Cool

Last year in Destin, I was with my mother in law and we rented a pontoon boat. very smooth ride with a covered top etc. That would be great for a pregnant person. Fun for every one. Lots of rentals in the yellow pages. we'll be there june 1st this year
