Question seaweed

We are headed to Destin June 1. How is the seaweed/water condition now? Last August the seaweed was bad! but we made the best of it and rented a boat and had a blast!

Not 100% sure about Destin, but PCB hasn't seen any seaweed, yet... it usually starts around this time, but seems like it may be a little late this year. Maybe it won't even come at all!
/fingers crossed!

We just got back from Destin last weekend after spending the week before there. The water was great. There was a little seaweed the last day we were there, but nothing major. Last year was aweful. The seaweed was more like moss that weed. It got all over you and just stuck. I was digging it out of my swimsuit and necklace after each swim. Destin has really boomed even since last year. The new shopping center is cool along with the new Bass Pro Shops and Rave Theatre. We went a little later this year so school was out. There were a lot more people but it didn't bother me since that mainly included a lot of hot girls everywhere!!:D I've never seen so many hot girls in my life. We went deep sea fishing, rented jet skiis, became beach bums, and ate at a lot of awesome restaurants. We ate at : McGuires Pub, Pampano Joe's, Fisherman's Warf, Louisiana Lagniappe (sp?), Fudpuckers and a couple other cool places. McGuires was out of their famous ribs!!! We were so disappointed. Well, until next year............I guess I'll just have to look at the Destincam. Oh yeah, I spent a bunch of money at Sockeye's, that store is dangerous on the ole pocketbook!!

That's good news about the lack of seaweed! Complete 180 from last year.

And yes, Destin is BOOMING! Great real estate opportunities everywhere! Check out our article on investing in Destin real estate... it mentions lots of small beach communities around Destin that are growing quickly. They're also great places to visit or stay if you know where they are!
