For the best crab legs and gumbo around, got to Island Steamer on Okaloosa Island. Their gumbo has huge pieces of crab, shrimp, crawfish tails, and sausage. And it is an authentic roux based delight! (The chef there used to be Francis Ford Coppola's personal chef) They also have ALL YOU CAN EAT Dungeness crab every night. It is my favorite kind of crab and I don't think anyone else around here has it. It is a lot like Snow crab only shorter, fatter legs with bigger pieces of meat. It has a nice savory flavor.

Island Steamer is definitely worth a try. Fun, casual place. My group of friends (and we all live here) go often on Friday nights to sit outside and listen to Chris Hayes play live music, drink beer, and eat all the Dungeness crab we can!
