Any word on the condition of Jetty East and businesses in that area? We were arriving on the 1st of October . . . Any suggestions or advice?

How about AJ's and the Boathouse?
Someone should have took down all the $$ in Boathouse just in case of a rebuild- it wouldnt have taken much $$
We love to stay at Jetty East and hang out at AJ/BH

I went on WWW.destinonline.com and saw something about jetty East. Check the different messages. I have some friends that were supposed to stay there and It had quite a bit of damage.

From what I could tell (we have a house next door to Jetty East) the entire first floor, pool and deck area were destroyed. From the outside of the condos they all appeared fine, but everything on the first floor was damaged pretty badly.
We drove by AJs, and the people working around there said that it was fine - the water stayed below the docks, so they had very little, if any, damage. Nothing like after Hurricane Opal.

I OWN A CONDO AT JETTY EAST & THE BUILDING IS FINE A FEW UNITS HAVE WET CARPETS. ALSO ABOUT 3 UNITS HAD BROKEN WINDOWS,MOSTLY MINOR DAMAGE. THE GROUNDS RECEIVED THE MOST DAMAGE, POOL, TENNIS COURTS AND PAVILION. THET ARE LOOKING FOR A JANUARY 1ST TO MARCH 1ST TIME FRAME TO REOPEN.
