3rd Annual Baytowne Film Festival Announces New Festival Dates and Donation of Ticket Proceeds

Sandestin, Fla. (September 21, 2004) – The 3rd Annual Baytowne Film Festival, DRIVEN: A Perpetual State of Being, originally slated for September 24-26, 2004, has been rescheduled and will now take place October 8-10, 2004, at The Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

In addition, the Baytowne Film Festival organizers have announced that all proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to assist those individuals and families who were directly affected by Hurricane Ivan.

“We felt it was important to use the festival as an instrument to aid those who have been touched by this storm,” said Adam Shiland, founder/festival director of the Baytowne Film Festival. “While our community was affected by the hurricane, it is our goal to not only improve awareness of independent film, but now, more importantly, to raise funds for those who have had their lives changed forever.”

Tickets are currently available for screenings at Rave Motion Pictures for $7 and can be purchased directly from the box office at Rave Motion Pictures in Destin Commons. For more information, please contact the Rave Motion Pictures Box Office by calling (850) 650-4579.

Tickets for screenings at Club Intrawest’s Bamboo Grove Theater will be $3 and can be purchased by calling (850) 267-8118. The screening of the film classic ‘Wizard of Oz’ at 7 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2004, will be free and open to the public.

In addition to purchasing individual tickets, an All-Access Pass will be offered for $50 and will allow entry to any/all of the films (based on seating availability). The All-Access Pass can be purchased by calling (850) 267-8118.

Born out of a passion for film and a desire to support the spirit of the independent filmmaker, the Baytowne Film Festival is a part of the Autumn Tides 2004 events lineup, three months of unforgettable seaside events, festivals and activities along the beautiful Beaches of South Walton.

For more information on becoming a part of this electrifying event, as well as for ticket details, please call Adam Shiland, Festival Director/Founder, at (850) 267-8118. And for more information on the Baytowne Film Festival, please visit www.baytownefilmfestival.com.
