Thumbs up Newman-Dailey Resort Properties invites guests back after Ivan

DESTIN, FL (October 8, 2004) – Newman-Dailey Resort Properties, featuring rental accommodations throughout the Destin and Beaches of South Walton areas, reports facilities are open for business after Hurricane Ivan.

“Most of our Gulf-front properties impacted by the storm sustained only minor damage that has now been repaired,” said Newman-Dailey Resort Properties President Jeanne Dailey. “More than 75 percent of our properties are operational and available for rental,” she said.

Hurricane Ivan thundered ashore along the Alabama/Florida Gulf Coast on September 15. “The area to our west bore the brunt of Ivan, and while our area was also impacted, we’ve rebounded very quickly and were able to repair most of the damage, which included loss of dune walkovers and wind-blown water damage in some of our Gulf-front units,” Dailey explained.

Newman-Dailey manages more than 300 rental units in the local area, including those at Jade East Towers, an 18-story condominium with 88 two and three-bedroom units. “All of Jade East will be open for business for the snowbird season, as well as our units at such prestigious properties as Mediterranea, Mainsail, Bella Vita, Sundestin and Pelican Beach Resort, among many others. In addition, Newman-Dailey rents a variety of beach homes.

“Some of our damaged properties will be undergoing renovation during the reconstruction process, including Beachside Inn, located in Crystal Beach,” said Dailey. The newly-opened Camille’s Restaurant, located within the hotel, is fully operational and open for business.

There are several beach access areas that are closed because of damage to dune walkovers. However, all beaches are open and most of them are accessible in both Destin and South Walton County.

Newman-Dailey Resort Properties, Inc. is a full-service real estate sales, property management and vacation rental company, which has been in business on the Emerald Coast for 19 years. Voted “Best Real Estate Company on the Emerald Coast in 2003,” Newman-Dailey’s main office is located in the Fountain Plaza off U.S. Highway 98 in Destin, Fla.
