Destin in March

Will the temperature in Destin be enjoyable in mid-March? My wife and I are both teachers and are thinking of going there during our spring break with our 2 year-old son.

Will it be warm enough to be in the ocean?

That's a tough one to answer... it's difficult to predict the weather that time of year.

Last year, the entire month of March was warm and sunny. Years past have seen cooler weather.

The water temp is usually still a little cool, but as long as the sun's out and the air temp is up, it's enjoyable.

At the very least, you'll all be able to wade in the water and play in the sand. You might want to find a hotel with a heated swimming pool if you're set on doing some swimming with the 2 yr old.

Yes and no..

Well during spring break it can vary. I'd check weather.gov and type in destin, fl and read the forecast (there more accurate then the weather.com)

Hope this helps!
