Cool The local market..Slowing down?

Some in the game are saying things have slowed down a bit in the real estate market locally.

Inventory does seem to be up a bit here in Destin and also in the Niceville area. Maybe the season end and the inventory being up have created a lull.

Still seeing a lot of solds out there. There are some good values to be had out there too. The Gulfview Condos are still in the under $400K range with low monthly fees.

And Sandestin is HOT HOT HOT. We also have two pre-construction opps in condos and a new single family home subdivision.

Give me a call if I can be of assistance to you or others you know looking to invest, move here or sell their properties.

Service is my forte. Thanks.

I think end of summer typically sees a small drop in real estate numbers every year. But who knows... when you have USA Today reporting 35% overvalued prices, it could put a damper on things. Sure hope poeple don't take one economist's opinion too seriously.

SSinSanD will become famous soon enough
I have had a luxury beachfront condo for sale for the past six months with minimal traffic but no offers despite price reduction from original asking price suggested by realtor. The agent attributes the no sale to publicity surrounding shark attacks, hurricane damage to the beach with resulting publicity and general downward trend in tourist activity. Not sure what this means but I presume prices are headed lower for the near future at least until the market settles down.
