Holiday isle
Hello , Coming down to Destin on Friday. Any info on Gulf Shore Dr? Also did the island road open? Coming from the north in need of beautiful beach escape.

Holiday Isle & 98
Holiday Isle is still flooded in some areas and power is being restored today. Highway 98 between Destin and Okaloosa Island was expected to open last night, but was determined that it was not quite safe enough. Hopefully, with the sun out today the water will recede and at least two lanes will open this afternoon. Other than those two areas, pretty much everything is back to normal!

I rarely go to destin but do know people on the island. Your best bet is to stay there and stay away from the hotels that looked run down because they are! (the resorts there are nice)
