We will be arriving for our annual visit on Saturday (8/26). We're wondering what the seaweed situation is this year. There have been a couple years out of the last 6 or 7 when the "emerald" color was dark green gunk. Please tell me the water will be beautiful and clear this year like the Destin we fell in love with all those years (16 straight and counting).

The water looks great. There is some seaweed from the storms lately, but it's not terrible and usually clears up pretty fast. Over the weekend it was beautiful- water was that stunning turquoise clear, just a little seaweed on the beach- that Sargasso weeds or whatever it's called, but not terrible.
