Was just there in June with my mother. Our last visit was in 1975.

Hey there welcome to the forums!

I went to the Wesley Mansion when I was a kid. When you went in the door it was like stepping back in time. It amazes me that a house built of old timbers so long ago is still standing.

My father's family has a lot of old homes like that in Mississippi. It really is amazing they weather storms like we've had recently. And you're right, it IS like stepping back in time.

As a side note- I worked for the Y in Defuniak Springs and one of our board members is a Wesley descendant. I remember him telling the story of the place.
