Alright, So I'm one of the five from Illinois that comes to Destin, and I travel by car (read the Destin Quiz, you'll get it then). Last year we came to Destin, had a blast. We ate at a place that advertised "best dogs in Destin". Does anyone know the place. If so I'm looking for the actual name and a picture of the place. If no one can help me, I'll be there in a week and will get it myself. Thanks.

Destinfan - I can make the drive in about 13-14 hours. Are you a local or are you one out of five, also?

The 'Hot Dog' Stand is on old 98 down by Dippin Dots and the Scotter rental place. Its actually a little place "Shack", that we found are way into after a day of golfing. They use to have a huge sign out front "Best Dogs in Destin", being a hot dog fan, I had to see if it was false advertisment or not. They were actually pretty good.

If no one can tell me for sure, I'm headed there Wednesday - I'll take pictures and post on my website for all to see this place, if it's still there.

I'm a local, but a transplanted one. I lived in Illinois for about 4 years, and made the trip down here to see my inlaws several times. Usually took us about 16 hours @ 980-1000 miles. But my wife likes to stop often so it took longer than it should have.

I'll drive by the shack today, maybe I'll see you eating one of those 'dogs!
