Exclamation Destin Live Cam

We've got a live cam set up at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort that let's you see the Gulf of Mexico lapping the shore, and the pool deck at the resort.

Take a look at the Gulf & Resort.

Nice shot on the live cam. It looks darned relaxing there. I can see why folks would want to vacation there. I wouldn't mind seeing more of the water though. (of course all I have to do is look out my window! )

Man, that view just gets better and better... looks like some sort of tropical paradise.

If you want to know more about the resort that the live cam's at, click here... Sandestin is hosting a Wine Festival that's garnered international attention.

It's just about sunset and there must be a couple dozen people crowding the deck at the sandestin resort on the live cam. Even though the sunset is blocked some by the clouds it still looks amazing! Nice work on the live cams folks!

It is 4:30 now, and the sun looks like it's crashing into the earth it's so big on the view from the cam! It's been that way since about 4pm today... if you get a chance at this time, take a look. Stunning.

I saw what you posted about me in the pcb forums! Yes I am a man of many talents!!! If I can just keep the grandkids thinking that for a few more years I will have it made.

Was watching your live cam again. It must be one of the fastest around. I think its much faster than your new orlenas cam. Even though that one is fast too. I just watched a young lady walk around the pool and it was like I was watching tv (well almost!). Nice.

Thanks for the compliments Ed. We're pretty happy with the way the Sandestin cam is working out. I'm looking at it now, and there's a family out swimming, and while you can't see facial features or anything, you can see the ripples in the water move out as they swim, and the palm branches moving naturally... I have to agree Ed, it's a heck of a cam!

THe live cam is making me homesick. Moved to New England from Niceville 2 years ago. Coming back in June for a 10 day stay in Destin. CANNOT WAIT! Thanks for the preview!

Hi nataliet757, welcome to the Forums! I'm interested in hearing what a transplanted local coming back for vacation is most looking forward to... and what you missed most about the place!

Cool transplanted local

Can't really say I'm a transplanted local, but our family did live in Niceville for 9 years.
:D
I do miss sweet tea, clean white sand beaches, relatively warm winters, southern hospitality, "scattered, smothered, covered, and chunked," and most of all, my friends and neighbors along the Emerald Coast. First place I want to visit: Henderson State Park. First place I want to eat: MCGUIRE'S.
See you all soon!

Hi nataliet757! I couldn't agree more with you on the McGuire's, Henderson Park, the beaches and the warm winters but I've never understanded the whole Waffle House thing. Who wants hash browns when you could have home fries?! And sweet tea? Never!

But I'm darn glad to be down here, and Southern Hospitality has been a big part of what we like here. Good people!

See ya on those sugar white beaches!

Cool Gulf Time

Well folks I just checked that livecam and it seems it is time to go out and jump into the water!! There are people swimming already in the pool at sandestin and the water in the gulf looks great. So the MRS and I are going to go walk the sand and take a dip in the gulf. It really is great being retired!

If you've just started your day you may not want to see this... the waves are rolling into paradise particularly intoxicatingly today. Take a look for yourself...

Talking

Just wanted to say - WOW! Would you look at that view?! This is what paradise looks like, near as I can tell. Palm trees swaying in the breeze, emerald green waves rolling onto sparkling white beaches, a pool full of visitors horsing around... put a umbrella drink in your hand, some sunscreen on, sit in front of your monitor and it's almost like you're on the beach!
