I'm here in Florida watching this so called "beach tv"
What gives? I see nothing of value to us here in the area. The shows, etc and titles to the shows are meaningless (except for a rare few like CLUB HOUR) that show the same old ads.

I see you now cover Pensacola but looking at the FCC's database the station is WAWD.

Here is my question to anyone who works for T.S.:

1)Do tourists watch this at their hotels?
2)Is this nothing more then a 24 hour ad channel with no quality shows that talk about what to dew here in the pan can handle? (slogan from a local radio station here)
3)Do you advertise F.W. in PCB? Or is it just one way promoting?

As I used to work for the tourist industry somewhere in the Pan Handle.

I'm also trying to start something here as I'm seeing nothing more then the bots and a few users. Judging by the way things are going, the folks in DESTIN are driving 2 MPH vs the posted limit which really F..N P&&&&ED me off.

This person scores awesome points for their Destin traffic abhorrence. Tourist is to roadway as plaque is to arteries. Thank goodness that we only have one road running throught the entire city. /sarcasm (yes, I know of the back road, but so does every other local, and the occasional clever tourist.) But, I'll say I do avoid going into Destin as much as possible..

I don't care about beach T.V., or T.V. period.. but, to humor you I'll take a poke at your questions.

1). Yes, people will watch anything you put in front of them. Why, you ask? Most people are lazy and in their quest to be 'in the know' of which places are happening in Destin they'll watch it until they notice it's a broken record. Sheeple like to be told where to graze.

2) No, 24 hour ads for restaurants/bars: see above.

3) What? Who cares? FWB sucks, imo. Is there even anything worth going to FWB for? The nightlife is laughable, albeit I've not been there in a year because of the aforementioned condition, but I doubt its changed much. The city is old and dilapidated aside from Uptown station and the 'downtown' area. The only thing FWB has that Destin doesn't is an Autozone and 70 car lots.. PCB is on it's way back from dirty to dapper and I have a feeling beach T.V.'s going to want to get a taste of it so they can freshen up their material.

BTV's picture looks like total crap too. I wached emerald coast chefs
and the colors are way off.

I agree about the horrible traffic in Destin --- didn't they hold a public forum or something recently addressing traffic issues?

Binfordman - what cable provider do you use? Or are you catching BTV over the air?

You all should probably think about what life would be like if no tourists showed up in Destin!! Traffic in Destin is of course mainly due to the strong tourism and beauty of the area. Sorry for making the locals wait a few minutes at a traffic light and lose some of their precious time.

Not sure about the other guys, but I was complaining about a lack of planning and infrastucture for the traffic in Destin... not the tourists. You guys are the reason many of us have jobs.

Thanks for the responses. If the PD's are reading this, I hope they will focus more on this area then PCB. BTV is nothing but ads but still, they can show tourists what to do and where to have fun.

The traffic situation here is horrible.
We need more stop lights on 98 especially going to Navarre. We also need more officers patrolling the area as there was another accident right outside my home reguarding a woman texting or dialing her mobile and hitting a school bus, the bus had kids and she ended up dead.
