Destin Beaches?
Hey guys! How are the beaches in Destin? How is the water? How are they holding up to Gustav? Hopefully it won't be as bad as a few years back when we went and a tropical storm hit and washed all the beaches away and made the water really murky. We are getting there this coming Saturday and are staying for a week.

Word from a friend in Destin is the surge was less than 3 feet and virtually no beach erosion.
Water is still murky, I'm sure... but it might clear out by next wekend if we have calm seas this week.

Hopefully none of the other hurricanes or tropical storms hit Destin.

just seen on a fox8 feed looks to have damaged the beach and going into resort and this is IKE which is hitting Texas miles away:|
