Hi, my family will be in Destin sept 14 - 21st. Just curious how the weather has been. I've seen lots of rain on www.weather.com, but I know from experience from last year, that you can't always trust that. They were calling for rain every day on our visit to Destin last year, and we never saw a drop.

Welcome to the forums Princesstori! The weather's been great... and you're right about the rain. Even on days when it's been cloudy we haven't gotten much rain. Usually a brief shower in the afternoon or in the very early morning is all we've gotten.

It's that time of year I guess. Although I could use a bit more rain, my lawn's parched!

Hey, thanks for the weather info. You or anybody else happen to know of any good snorkeling locations that you don't need a boat to get to? We did the Destin Bridge last year, but I've heard that there are other locations. Any one have info?

Sure, there are several great locations around Destin. The jetties at Destin pass are supposed to be excellent.

This article has some info on snorkeling and diving in Destin that might be of some help.

I'm sure there are others who could give you some more info on snorkeling in the area...
