The Pyramid Players Prensent The Looking Glass
The Pyramid Players will take the stage at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, for their 6th annual performance at a new venue, the Choctaw high school Auditorium to present a modern, musical adventure, The Looking Glass--a show based on Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland.” Prior to the show, starting at 5:30 p.m., there will be an exhibit and sale of the finest art and handcrafted jewelry from Pyramid’s fine arts centers from around the state. Free admission, donations are appreciated!
In our version, "Alice" is a young woman who dreams of someday becoming a great novelist. Frustrated and stuck in her attempt to write her first novel, she escapes to a bizarre and wonderful world, meeting all sorts of interesting people along her journey. Her main goal is to become a queen, but to Alice's surprise, she learns some very important lessons as she progresses to different squares in a unique game of chess.
