Crabbing

Go to Bass Pro among others and get some cheap crab nets, then to Publix for chicken necks and then to a nearby pier in Sandestin or the backroads off Beach Drive on the bay. Tie some necks in the nets and get some string and lower them in and wait for a crab to get in and pull him up. If you catch females or ones with eggs they must go back and you really should not keep any smaller than your hand at a minimum. Another unwritten rule is to not keep less than 10 since you need that many to make a good meal.

If you get a good catch then get some crab boil in the pouch Zatarains is best and boil some water with lemons and salt. Boil crabs for only a few minutes then let sit a few more. Serve hot on newspaper with COLD Barqs Root Beer in the bottle. Nothing is better. Add a few bolied royal red shrimp for heaven on earth.

If you do not catch any check with Dewey Destins on the bay or Sextons in downtown Destin for live crabs.
