Old Mexico-Niceville
Right up the road from us in the Winn Dixie shopping center way in the back. We tried them Friday night and will try them again.
Needs improvement: Margs and Salsa. Although this may sound like a death knell for any Mexican stop it is not for OM. They have Margs only on the rocks and premixed($3.00 price is good though). Too sweet and not marglike enough is my summation. Salsa tasted too store bought as well. Chips were a bit on the heavier chip side but still tasty enough.
Cheese dip was good but could use a bit of kick from jalapenos too! Just a personal pref here.
My wife liked her burritos plate and my fajitas combo for one with steak and chicken was one of the bigger plates of fajitas for the price I have seen locally. It easily could make four fajitas with meat. Brought some home even. They also need to add some cheese, sour cream and/or pico de gallo to your fajita sides dishes.
Service was adequate and bill with nice tip came to $38.00. In my opinion the bill should have been more like $30.00 for this meal but I told the wife that we have a place for decent Mexican if we do not want Margs or Chips which actually helps out the old diet.
When you visit it is right behind Bitburger Pub which is another entry unto itself. More on that later.
Have a fiesta kind of day! Life IS a beach!
