Destin Restaurant Info
:D Oops! I don't know what happened, but in the middle of writing I was automatically posted. Anyway...
I am going to Destin for the first time in July and have questions about a few places.
BEACH WALK CAFE : What kind of food do they serve? Is it consistently good? Reasonable prices? Location? Atmosphere? Uniqueness, if any?
THE LIGHTHOUSE (same questions)
CAMILLES (same questions)
MULHOLLOW'S (same questions)
What about the FUNKY BLUES SHACK???

I eat at the Lighthouse everytime.
We go to Destin 3 times a year and always eat at the Lighthouse. You get better scenary at places like Beachwalk Cafe, but the Lighthouse has the best chargrilled Amberjack I have ever eaten. You go between 4 and 6 and it's 1/2 price. You can't beat that.

First of all-GREAT handle!
Beach Walk Cafeis PRICEY, on the water and great. Food is by Tim Creehan of Vince Gill and Amy Grant's wedding reception fame. It is one ofour faves BUT be cautioned, you will drop some coin here. Make reservations alsoand ask for a table near rhe windows, second tier is best for me. You CAN eat out side although depending on the day it is dicey. On Weds they are having speacility sushi night to go with everything else. Dessert is a MUST here. The Banana Cream Pie is fab as well as the sampler platter. In addition to the seafood and steak items they have rack oflamb, duck, venision I think also, so you can get some different stuff. Gourment presentation and a number of delightful sauces.
Dinner for two can approach $200 depending on your selections.
Mulhollows is a sleeper and is catching on now.Dinner only on Thurs-Sat nights BUT now they serve some Indian Food too! Also open for lunch with some delicious salads and sandwiches as well as other items. The owners, Joe and Kame will usually come out and talk to you at your table. This is a place to do lunch one day and come one night for dinner. Relaxed and casual. Medium prices you will like.
Graffiti is NEXT to Funky Blues Shack and great.Medium prices and stay after dinner for the tunes next door. Some top notch folks come through playing jazz and blues.
Camillesisjust down from Beach Walk, west, and is also verygood. Another great date place. Menu is limited BUT tasty and they have a sushi bar, making this a very unique place as well. Very cozy surroundings here. Can eat on the balcony also. Reservations suggested. Med prices. Waterviews.

Camille's @ Crystal Beach
Breakfast is a must here for anyone living at or visiting Crystal Beach. Just ask any local about the $5 sunrise special. I especially enjoyed the outside bistro informality of its coffee shop. Weekly and daily specials...lunch upstairs in the casual fine dining restraunt is excellent...Yoshi rolls sushi here also..freshest fish (they own the seafood market and buy the best local catch). Carpool. Parking is tight in Crystal Beach.
