Hello All,
I know that Nim's comes recommended for Vietnamese food, so we went there. Though their food was very good, it was not quite the Vietnamese we are looking for. We have tried Tu Do in Pensacola, and that was decent Vietnamese food. The best that we had found was Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant in FWB (which, incidentally, does not serve Chinese food. The sign says "serving Thai and Vietnamese food"). Their food was awesome, but has not reopened since Christmas. I had heard that the owner had health issues. I hope this is not the case, since their Pho was the best I have had down here and the Pad Thai was second to none. I know there is a new Vietnamese place opening up in Destin next to Bealls, however, it has not opened yet. Does anyone know any other place to get some good Pho and rice vermicelli with marinated pork? Thanks, Micah |

New Vietnamese in Destin near Wal Mart
Awesome food and cheap compared to others. On par with Tu Do which is still our fave.
Ask for the Vermicelli dish since it is not on the menu. |

If you feel like venturing over to Panama City, try Lotus Vietnamese Cuisine on HWY 98 (a couple miles east of Hathaway Bridge - near Schlotsky's)
We eat there all the time and have never been disappointed. Read restaurant reviews for Lotus Vietnamese Cuisine here! |

Saikayo
The new on here in Destin near Walt Mart and Bealls is Sai Kayo. I think I got it right.

Lotus was best
Thanks for the responses. After trying Tu Do, Sai Kyo, and Lotus, I must say that Lotus was the best of the three (of course, it is the furthest away from me). It was cheaper than Sai Kyo and the Pho was the best of all three. Of course, none of them was as good as "Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant serving Vietnamese and Thai food", but that is no longer open. Maybe I just need a good recipe for Pho and will save the drive to Panama City :).

Great! We had another wonderful meal at Lotus this week. I think it would be worth the drive once a month or so...
