Okay, for all us that love the Emerald Coast. I found a cool, chillin beach bar... Snapperheads, food us great, HUGE PORTIONS. My husband loved it, the kids loved it... And the prices are "WONDERFUL". I could not beleive it, something afford, good and fun all in one. Next time, we are getting a baby sitter and dancing the night away. You gotta Go!

Does anyone have a review for Perry of Niceville or Floyd all you can eat shrimp in fort walton. We are comming to Destin in July like to try something new and was wondering how these places were

We have gone to Perry's many times (as we live in town). Their steaks are very good (surprisingly). The only complaint that I have had is that during lunch, their service is slow...come to think of it, we have never had very fast service there. I would recommend eating there and going to restaurant.com to get a dining certificate. You spend $10 for the certificate and it gives you $25 off your meal and Perry's is one of the places you can get them for.

As far as Floyd's, I know people that like it but I was not that impressed. The gumbo was ok and the rest of the food was not memorable. We personally like eating at the Back Porch in Destin. I my opinion, it has the best gumbo in the area and their Back Porch oysters and twice baked potatos are AWESOME. Plus, they are on the gulf and have a nice playground for the kiddos. If you want some local flair, you can go to the Boathouse in Destin. It is a dive, but it is on the Destin harbor (on piers) and has a good atmosphere without being too touristy.

Micah, Thanks for the information. I think we will try Perry its a little drive from Sterling sands but i like to check out the area and try something new. The Back Proch is with in walking distance so i know we will eat there again thanks for responding we cant wait to get to Destin for vacation.

For the best gumbo - try Wahoo's off old 98 near Capt Dave's. Miss Gracie makes the best gumbo in the world!!!!!

why does that bar be que place keep changing names? are they having problems? it was corkeys, the commusary and now it's something totally differnet

Agreed! Snapperhead's is under new managament and they really seem to know what they are doing! They're amazing!

We love to go there as well, great everything, I think they have the best club 'samich' in the area!!!

We just got back from Destin on Saturdayand had a great time. I like to thank KeithGoesCoastal for the great tip about Nick seafood it was everything he said it was great food and cool place to eat old style fish house. Go early was no joke we got there at 4:45 with no wait but when we were leaving there was 30 people waiting. Thanks Keith

You are welcome and that was just a great reminder that I need to get back over to Nick's myself!!!!

Also, I would agree with those Snapperhead's fans. We went last week on a Friday night and loved the atmosphere, the menu and the eclectic blend of folks enjoying it.
