Question Sandestion

I have been visiting Destin just about every year for the last 15 years (and quite a few years before that as a child). In all this time I have never stayed at Sandestin (I know, shame on me). I was wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions about Sandestin. I know from the webcamera about the wonderful outdoor pool and hot tub. Do guests have access to any indoor pools and hot tubs in case of inclimate weather? How are the bicycle paths? What is the health club like? I have been through their website but I like to hear what others think.

Thanks.

Alan.

Sandestin is GREAT!

Now that they have opened the "Village" at Sandestin, I think it's one of the coolest places on the coast to stay. We have our annual sales meeting there every year, and our whole group (30 or so) ALWAYS votes to go back... the Village is so cool. I'd recommend staying over there... that way, you can walk through the little streets and stop into Acme for oysters, or, if you're in a partying mood, go to the Famous Door at night. It's on the bay, instead of the beach, but you can take a shuttle to the beachside - they have water taxis to scoot your around. It's really really nice!

Smile Sandestin

I work at Sadnestin Golf and Beach resort and it's a wonderful place. Hopefully I can answer some of your questions.
Everyday, everyone in your party gets: 4 hours of complimentary bikes, kayaks, canoes, boogie boards, gym membership, tennis (1 hr), tram service (unlimited) and towel service. There are many activities to do and places to go. The village as Toni said is open and has some awesome restaurants. Be sure to visit Sandestin.com!!

Feel free to email me with any questions.

Smile One more thing...

Oh and to answer your questions (sorry had forgotten them all!)

There is an indoor pool and hot tub that you have access too. It will be inside the Hilton which is not our hotel but since it is on Sandestin property you can use it... The bicycle paths are really great although in some places there is just the road but this is in very few places. The health club is really nice it tends to close earlier than more gyms usually 7pm, but opens at 6am. On the weekends it closes earlier than 7.

Hope this helps.... :)
