Ok so I've been going to Panama City for almost 15 years and I am now married. We have a dog who is like our CHILD and we haven't been able to find a NICE place on the beach that allows pets. Our dog is 4 years old and house trained, so there is NEVER any mess to clean up.

Does anyone know of a nice townhouse or any place on the beach that allows pets? We're wanting to start staying in Destin since we don't like all the construction going on in PC!

We had friends stay at Gulfview condos with their dog in May and they were told that they had changed their policy about animals. They were allowed to stay - but made to feel guilty about their dog everytime they left the condo.

I also heard rumors that Maravilla was thinking about changing their rules also - due to a flea problem.

Really check out before staying their - you don't want problems after you arrive.

Maravilla does not have a flea problem . I own two units there and reside there as well and I have a pet - Becki

But it is true about Gulfview not exactly being pet friendly.

It is getting harder and harder to find places that allow pets - and in many ways I can understand both sides of the situation. Owners put a lot of time and money into their properties to maybe have it ruined by the one bad pat out of hundreds - but also at times bad renters can ruin the place just as quickly even without pets.
